p. 55. A person only pays attention to those matters that mean something to him. Everybody knows the basis of chassidus (devoutness), but we don't grasp its essence. What we care about, either in mind or heart, we see everywhere. Noticing another person's sadness. Emotionally spent by the tzaros (anguish) of those close to us. 3-5 minute Hakkafos, and DON'T show ANY joy! Lip service to Hashem, but without our hearts or minds. Being an eved Hashem (servant of G-d) consists of many details.
