Description

Page 145. The greatest taivos (desires) are fulfilled in the pleasures of ruchnius (spirituality). Shleimus halev (wholehearted with Hashem) means that we do the mitzvos because Hashem "said so." (although that's not everythying in our avodas (service of) Hashem). Am I a Shulchan Aruch (code of Jewish law) Jew or not? Slowly but surely turning our mitzvah observance from lo-lishmah (not for Hashem's sake) to lishmah (for Hashem's sake) - increasing and purifying our kavanah (intent). Rungs on the ladder - levels of purity in thought and intent. What is the percentage of lishmah in this particular mitzvah? Is it more than yesterday, even a little bit? Two levels of mitzvah observance.
