Page 153. Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzato's chiddush (innovation) was in creating a seder (order) of avodah (holy work) going from lower to higher based on the ten sefiros, from Malchus to Keser. This is the only sefer that can take us from step to step in the tikkun haAdam. There are four ways to proceed in avodah - 1) straight lower to higher, 2) straight higher to lower, 3) higher to lower at a slight incline 4) jump levels in one shot. The prophet Habakkuk said that the pillar of Judaism is emunah. Going straight from higher to lower means to build emunah on a very high level then bring it down all the way to the very practical.
