Page 163. Though a child is given Torah and emunah (faith), there is no guarantee that they will grow to zehirus (watchfulness) and further. Torah is the foundation of every single level in Mesilas Yesharim, not only the first level. On Purim, we can recapture what we missed in cheder (school) - to return to pnimius (innerness) in emunah. Drinking and falling asleep is like a child saying Krias Shema then going to bed. On Shavuos, sleeping is a lack while on Purim it is an elevation. Ruach HaKodesh (Divine Inspiration) is receiving chochma (wisdom) from a place higher than chochma.
