Description

P 188. The danger of misreading the RamChaL's statement that ultimate ta'anug (delight) can only be attained in Olam Habah (in the next world). Some of our efforts in this world will only pay off in the next world. Pure olam hazeh (this world) is confusion within the superficial, physical pleasures of this world. But there is an intermediate point, which is Shabbos, and we attain ta'anugim (delights) of "me'ein olam habah" (like the next world), which is a Shabbos way of living in this world. Connecting every day of the week to Shabbos. The best message for our kids and ourselves is that there is true delight (me'ein) in this world. The right message for the right person at the right time and place. Presenting Yiddishkeit to our children as something that is absolutely delightful - in this world.
