Description

Page 223. We work very hard on "sur me'rah" (stay away from the bad) ve'asseh tov (and do good) in the hope that we'll catch up and reach Hashem - what does that mean? A person can get lost in the treasure houses of Hashem, even though the greatest treasure is Hashem himself. This means that a person reaches a certain level in his avodas (service of) Hashem and gets stuck there. The phenomenon of "mini-mekubalim," who have some very limited insight - are these types of people really supposed to "be open for business" and dispense advise? Even though a person has worked hard on himself and some extra light might have been revealed to him, that doesn't necessarily give him the ability to give good advice; insight and "seeing" does not mean a person has the insight to help somebody and guide them on the path to Hashem.
