Description

p. 250. Food, for example, requires a Jew making a bracha (blessing) to spiritually elevate it. Having something presents a challenge as to how we are going to use that to serve Hashem, not serve ourselves. The more we have, the more responsibility we have. The din (judgment) of Rosh Hashana is whether we are using the world in the way that Hashem wants us to. When Moshiach comes and we have avadim (servants), it means that we are going to have more means to reveal kavod shamayim (Hashem's presence). Shabbos, Rosh Hashana, and Yom Kippur are not about our pleasure, they are about the opportunity to serve Hashem.
