Description

P. 262. Can we experience ultimate good in this world? This world is the MEANS to the ultimate tov (good). (2nd part of Likutei MaHaran: 119). The appearance of a perfect, wealthy, happy life in this world. Rebbi Nachman's perspective on "happiness" in this world. Why must there be suffering in this world? What is the definition of "olam habah" (the NEXT world)? Different perspectives of what t'chias hameisim (resurrection of the dead) and olam habah will be like. The ultimate goal is for the neshamah (soul) and guf (body) to be together; therefore the body must be purified in this world. Since we are just passing through this world, we don't have to take it so seriously. Yaakov's desire to live his remaining years in tranquility (Rashi in parshs Vayeshev). Experiencing some of the next world's good in this world.
