Description

p. 289. A person who is m'dakdeik (very attentive) about doing mitzvos takes them seriously as if weighing precious metals. The tzaddikim take every moment of their lives very seriously. The greater a talmid chacham (Torah Scholar), the more he can break down halacha into smaller and smaller details. One lesson learned out of Sefriras HaOmer is the importance of details - each day is counted. A person has to realize that a principle contains many, many details. The trademark of the am ha'aretz (the ignorant person) is that he is not concerned with details. One person who cares about the details, cares about everything, and can merit the level of 'chassid', of serving Hashem the best way the person possibly can. Ahava (love) is in the details.
