Description

The power of Haman was that he was a hidden rasha (evil person), not a common thug. The snake in the Garden of Eden is Esav, which is Amalek, which is Haman, teaching that the root of evil comes from the first sin. The Jewish people represent the essence and truth of reality while Amalek represents the falseness of mikre (accident). The megillah uses the word HaMelech (the King) in the present tense to show us that Hashem is around even during the harsh times. On Purim, even with all the pain, we must say Hashem Melech, that right now He is the King.
