Description
Hod Sh'B'Hod (Splendor within Splendor) is thanking Hashem for being able to thank Him. Hashem is our mikveh, our hope that He will save us. On Lag Ba'Omer, after his students stopped dying, Rebbi Akiva started teaching Rebbi Shimon. Rebbi Akiva revealed to the Jewish people his hope in avichem sh'b'shamayim (our Father in Heaven). Rebbi Shimon was given permission to reveal Hashem's love for the Jewish people. The biggest tumah (impurity) in the world is to not be sure of Hashem's love. We are no longer in the galus (exile) of fire, but in the galus of ice, of chilling out. The Jewish neshama (soul) is like a fire that shuckles back and forth.
