Description

The seventh Kina (lamentation) seems as though we are blaming Hashem by asking "why?" and "how could this be?" We should always pour our hearts out before Hashem but it must be from a place a believing. The difference between mourning over the loss of a person and the loss of the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple) is that when a person dies it is the natural order of the world, but the destruction of the Beis HaMikdash is not normal. We see the importance of every Jew and how much we could make a difference in the world. Before reading the seventeenth Kina , we learn about the importance of treating the places where we pray and learn Torah with the utmost respect and holiness.
