Description
Based on a Sichah by Rav Tzvi Meir Zilbergerg; Sichos His'chaskus, sichah 1, 5771. The light of Chanukah is the light of Torah she'ba'al peh (Oral Torah). There exists a very special relationship between a Jew and Chanukah. Those who struggle in understanding the Oral Torah will merrit experiencing the hidden light Hashem stashed away during Creation. Our generations are much more open their discussion of, and learning about Chanukah. There is a great need to write more seforim (books) and talk more about Chanukah, which is the Torah and light of Moshiach. The decision to commit Torah she'ba'al peh to writing was extraordinarily difficult; because of increased persecution, weaker minds, and a general darkening in the world there was a greater need for the light of Torah. The interesting increase in published likutim (compilations) of Torah writings which makes Torah more accessible to a wider audience. The brings the light of Moshiach and reconnects a Jew to Hashem. The Chanukah candles help a person become a receptive vessel for the deepest secrets of Torah.
