Description

From Rav Tzvi Meir Zilberberg's kuntres on Zos Chanukah. The Hallel of Zos Chanukah is in place of the Hallel we do not say on Yom Kippur. Those who are dead, meaning people who are spiritually dried-out, cannot praise Hashem. Hallel said with excitement is the opposite of death. The 36 neiros (candles) counter the 36 types of kerisos (spiritual death). All of the gates of shamayim (heaven) and the gates of a person's heart are open on Zos Chanukah. On that night, we should daven to have a complete life. Chanukah is all about chiyus (life).
