Description
Before Kinah 31 - Eish Tukad Bekirbi
The stark contrast between the promising beginning (Yetzi'as Mitzrayim - the Exodus) and the unbearable disappointment over what became of us throughout time (Yetzi'as M'Yerushalayim). Moshe Rabeinu's optimism and certainty about B'nei Yisrael's great future. A sudden change from a simple and fast journey to Eretz Yisrael to complaints and a desire to return to Egypt. The inverted letters "nuhn" - our entire existence was changed. Betzeisi miMitzrayim reflects the joy under the chupah (wedding canopy), the birth of a child, raising that child to be a good, G-d fearing person; we experience betzeisi m'Yerushalayim when that couple ends up divorcing in Beis Din (Jewish Court), Heaven forbid the child is severely ill or dies, or when the child is involved in terrible, immoral or dangerous activities. From "Har Habayit Beyadeinu" (the hill of our Home [Beis HaMikdash]) is in our hands, to today. "Not a day goes by that I don't get a call about ...." We feel the pain of our interrupted journeys.
