Description
Rav Zilber spoke in English to a packed audience at Aish Kodesh about Chassidus' view of Chassidus.
We know from both nigleh (revealed [Torah]) and nistar (hidden [Torah]) that all our actions should be leshem Shamayim (for His sake) and that we must be G-d conscious in everything we do (bechol deracheihah de'ehuh). But one has to be careful that Chassidus does not translate into weaker and less learning. The path of the Vilna Gaon was not necessarily for those who were not his students. Chassidus places emphasis on the fact that Hashem does not try to conceal himself from anyone. What type of Jew does a tzaddik (righteous person) value? Finding the good sparks in everything rather than condemning. Chassidus lifts Shabbos and Yom Tov, Yerushalayim and Eretz Yisrael to a much higher level and helps us connect to Moshiach and the Beis HaMikdash. The great test of Avraham Avinue (forefather).
