In this shiur for Masechet Berachot 2b, we will begin by analyzing the controversy regarding Kriat Shema, is it two mitzvot or one? What is the relationship between this issue and the definition of Zemanei Kriat Shema? We will move on to analyze the relationship between the mitzva of Kriat Shema & the Mitzva of Talmud Torah. We will study the six proofs of the Keren Orah that Kriat Shema is a sub category of Talmud Torah. We will begin our study of the sugya of Hatchalat Zeman Kriat Shema shel Arvit, and see the views of the various Tanaim on this question.
