Why all the hype about Kavod Malchus? Is this merely a sub-set of the general mitzva of Kavod Habriyos?Should we seek out opportunities to honor the King? Should we violate an Issur DeRabanan for the sake of Kvod Malchus? And what about a King amongst the nations? Is this an obligation identical to that of our Kvod to Malchei Yisrael? We'll study the sugya of reciting a beracha when one sees a Melech, a Melech B'Yisrael & a Melach Akum. Does the bracha depend upon ראייה i.e. only when one sees the Melech, or upon ידיעה, i.e. when one knows the King is present? Who qualifies as a King for the beracha, one who has the title or even on who has far reaching executive powers? Is Kavod for aMelech Akum a Hechsher Mitzva or a mitzva unto itself?
