Description

We will study Yoreh Deah siman #98, Mechaber & Ramah, and the analysis of the Shach regarding the Ramah. The issue is how to determine the nature of the Ta'aroves, i.e. is this a mixture of מין במינו, of מין בשאינו מינו? All this will depend on two possibilities: בתר טעמא/בתר שמא. The Shach takes the intuitive approach, i.e. all depends upon Ta'am. How are we to understand the Ramah that all depends upon שם?
