Description

What do you do if you have to pause during kriyat shema? How long are you allowed to pause for before being required to start over from the beginning? What is halachikally considered a "hefsek," a pause? We discuss the halachot of hefsek as they apply to all areas of davening and brachot, giving special attention to kriyat shema and its brachot. (Part of HaMidrasha at QC, OU-JLIC's women's Torah learning program at Queens College.)
