Description

We will study the Ramah in Yoreh De'ah siman #102, & the two reasons for the unique principle חמץ אסור במשהו. The Ramah rejects the explanation of the Rambam; Chametz is not a דבר שיש לו מתירין since the Heter is only temporary & next Pesach it becomes Assur again. Rather the Issur משהו is a result of the severity of Chometz as an איסור כרת. The Shach presents the נפק"מ between these two explanations. That is the case of Chometz on Erev Pesach after mid-day; the Issur כרת doesn't apply but it is still a דשיל"מ. We will try to prove from the Laws of הגעלת כלים that the Mechaber accepted the view that Chometz is אסור במשהו מחמת חומרת איסורו.
