For Kiddushin 9b-10b we will study the sugya of Kiddushei Bi'ah. There are two possible sources from which we can derive Bi'ah, and the sugya is dedicated to an in-depth analysis of these two Yalfutot, and why do we need both? One major Svara is to say that one source could only prove that Kiddushin would begin with כסף and would reach fruition with ביאה; the latter alone would not clinch the Ishut. The sugya addresses the controversy regarding ביאה שלא כדרכה, is this a ביאה recognized as such by the Halacha & would she lose her status as a בתולה as a result of such an act? This q' is relevant to the subject of what punishment will apply to one who has relations with a נערה בתולה המאורסה as well a to the issue of paying for אונס ומפתה.
