Description
We will study the sugya of קנין כספו which permits an ארוסה, the wife of a Kohen, to eat Teruma. The Chachamim prohibited it until she enters חופה. We will study the possible reasons the Rabbis imposed this Issur. Under what conditions can the husband nullify the marriage retroactively if he discovers that she has a blemish? Can the person who purchases a שפחה כנענית claim the purchase was under false premise if he discovers that the שפיה has a blemish? In the latter part of this shiur we will discuss the opinion of Beis Shamai that not less than a דינר will qualify as Kesef Kiddushin. Would a woman from a very wealthy home need to receive a pot of gold in order to effectuate Kiddushin?
