Description
For Kiddushin 21b-22b, we will study the laws of רציעה, i.e. when the Eved refuses to go free at the end of the six years. Does רציעה apply to an Eved Kohen? Does the utensil have to be made of metal or even a sharp pointed wood would qualify? Which part of the ear must be pierced? Is an Eved Kohen permitted to a שפכה כנענית? What about the Heter re: an אשת יפת תואר? Does this Heter apply even to a Kohen? Why is the Heter for the Kohen limited to the first ביאה only? Why did the Torah permit אשיפ"ת? We will establish a list of conditions that must be met in order to apply the process of רציעה, e.g. both the master & the Eved are family men, both are attached to one another, both are healthy. Must the master support the Eved's family?
