In the first half of this shiur for Bava Kamma 12a-b, we will analyze the status of עבדים: a) to serve as a base for קנין אגב, or b) the חלות שעבוד. In both issues the Halacha hinges on the question: is the Eved קרקע or מטלטלין? The 2nd half of the shiur is dedicated to an understanding of the opinion of R' Yossi HaGlili re: the status of Kodshim Kalim (Shlamim) is there private ownership over the animal or does it belong to Hekesh? The two נפק"מ are, one, if one's animal damaged Kodshim Kalim is there an obligation to compensate the owner? Two, can the owner give the animal to a woman as כסף קידושין?
