Description

For Masechet Bava Kamma 23a we will study the story of the goats that damaged R' Yosef's field, and the argument of Abaye that it is R' Yosef, the ניזק, who is responsible to fence his field and protect himself from being damaged. We will study the Rosh who differentiates between the city and out in the field. In the city even Abaye admits that the responsibility falls on the shoulders of the Mazik, the Nizak need not lock his doors. We will begin the new Mishna and sugya on 24a-b the double debate re: העדאה וחזרה between R' Yehuda & R' Meir, 3 נחיחות on 3 days, or even on one day? If the child provoked the ox can this reverse the status of a מועד?
