Description

This is a Halacha shiur for the Three Weeks & the Period of Sefirat HaOmer. During these periods of time there is a limitation on joy & celebration. In fact the three week period is one of Avelus, i.e. mourning over the loss of the Beis HaMikdash. What is the permissibility or the opposite regarding singing, dancing, and live or recorded music? We will look at the Mishna in Taanit as well as the sugya in Yevamot, and the Shulchan Aruch & its commentaries. This will lead to a reading of the works of contemporary Poskim.
