Description

This shiur for Masechet Bava Kamma 82b will complete the Sugya of the ten unique Halachot that apply to Yerushalayim. These Halachot are engendered by two essential qualities of the Holy City. One, its Tahara, i.e. the purity & sanctity of Yerushalayim which cannot tolerate Halachik Tum'ah (contamination). Two, the nature of the city as a city of beauty, a city of joy, a city whose people arrive there in great numbers & for the purpose of implementing Aliya LaRegel as well as many other Mitzvot. Activities that will curtail the enjoyment of a healthy life, e.g. loss of clean air as a result of smoke pollution, or the presence of vegetation that induces foul odors, these activities must be removed from the Holy City.
