Description
Two subjects are investigated by the Gemara in Bava Kamma 85a: One, how to evaluate the payment of צער. If we evaluate the loss of limb, this includes the other payments of the Chovel. The second subject is the three-way Machlokes recorded in the Beraisa regarded 'extended' medical expenses & unemployment losses if the wound becomes infected and spreads. There are situations in which the extended wound is directly attributable to the original assault. However in many cases it was the victim who contributed to the spreading of the wound, does the Chovel pay? We will discuss the issue of medicine: is the physician permitted - even perhaps obligated - to administer medical care? Why could we argue that "no"! The 'ideal' world w.o. physicians!
