Description

After clarifying the last sugya we covered in the last shiur regarding the proof that the Mishna maintains that a blind person is included in all laws of בושת whether he was victimized or he was the active agent. We wil begin our study of the main sugya in Bava Kamma 86b: the view of Rebby Shimon re: one who intended to embarrass Reuvein but inadvertently embarrassed Shimon, he does not pay Shimon, why? The other opinion will bill the מבייש for the lower sum. i.e. the amount he would pay had he embarrassed the one he intended to. We begin the new Mishna and study the issues of בושת re" one who embarrassed a sleeping person or a child. Can a child be mature enough to suffer humiliation? Can one who is naked deserve to collect בושת?
