Rachel borrowed a garment from Leah & after she returned the garment to Leah, Leah discovered a כתם on the garment. Rachel herself found a כתם on one of her own garments and therefore is already טמאה בנדה. Can Leah attribute the the stain she found to Leah? Does the principle of תלייה apply to a כתם, and if not why not? This will require a review of the debate between Rebby & Rav Shimon ben Gamliel regarding the case where Rachel was a שומרת יום on her 2nd day. Rebby denied תלייה, and certainly would do the same in the case of Rachel's כתם. But what would R' Shimon say? We will see two approaches in the Rishonim in our sugya in Masechet Niddah & try to present two נפק"מ to these two views.
