Description

We will begin the shiur by completing the previous sugya re: the debate between Reish Lakish & R' Yochanan does a young girl have a חצר? The gemorah offers three approaches to understanding this machlokes. At the end it seems that all agree that a Ketana HAS a חצר, both for Get & Metzia, but a קטן does not. We will begin the new sugya: must the owner of the חצר stand by his field or yard in order for the חצר to operate on his behalf? We are talking about an open field which is accessible to all & is not surrounded by a protective fence. Is this a problem for Get or Matana, or only for Metzia? This will depend upon the definition of חצר. Is the latter a שליח, or an extension of the owner's Yad?
