Description

For Masechet Bava Matzia 29a-b we will study the issue: is the finder responsible if the object is lost or stolen? Does he have the status of a שומר שכר, and if so, why? Is the finder permitted to use the money he found? The money he received by selling the animal he found? If he is permitted to use the money does he become a שואל who pays for אונסין? May a guardian of young orphans use their funds? We will discuss the laws relevant to the finding of ספרים ותפילין. How frequently must he air out these objects? May the finder study from the found Sefer or wear the found tefillin? If he must sell the find can he buy it himself and save the funds for its owner? What is the difference between reading from the Sefer & studying?
