Description

For Bava Matzia 31b-32a we derive new Halachos from the double language of the Torah in the following: Ir Hanidachas & capital punishment, the obligation of the lender to return the Mashkon (collateral) he took from the borrower without the permission of Beis Din, the obligation of the Master of the Eved Ivri to give the latter a Hanaka even if the Eved did not bring Bracha into the home of his Master, the obligation of Tzedaka for a person who has money but refuses to spend it or the obligation to give to poor people from a distant city. We continue Aveidah with the issue of compensation for the finder, and the widow's license to sell the estate with the approval of B"D. We begin the Mishna of the cow in the barn & honoring one's Father.
