Description

Masechet Bava Metzia 60a-b: fair & unfair practice in marketing. Is the seller permitted to allure the children into his shop by offering them gifts? May a seller offer his merchandise at a slashed price & corner the market, undermining other competitors? Is a seller permitted to beautify his product and thereby deceive the buyer? Can a father - in order to marry off his daughter - use various methods to present her as being much younger that she really is? May the father conceal certain blemishes of his daughter? May someone beautify a utensil making it appear to be brand new in order to attract buyers? These and other issues will be addressed. We offer at the close of the shiur a short intro to the next Perek איזהו נשך.
