Our sugya today in Masechet Bava Metzia 77b addresses the issue of workers who quit in the middle of the job. Would R' Dosa distinguish between a קבלן who is paid for a job and may not quit until the job is completed and a regular worker - פועל שכיר יום - who is hired for a day's work. The bulk of the shiur will address the issue of a sale where the buyer did not pay the entire sum but rather a down payment. Can the seller or buyer reneg and nullify the transaction since the balance of the payment was yet to be transferred to the seller?
