Description

For Masechet Ketuvot 20a we will study the sugya of תרי ותרי, i.e. two pairs of witnesses that contradict each other, בכחשה, we leave the money in the hands of the one who is in possession of the money. In the case of בר שטיא, who is the מוחזק? Can Bar Shatya prove that he inherited the real estate from his father? If not we should raise the possibility that he was a שוטה at the time he purchased this property and therefore it is the buyer who is the מוחזק. In the latter part of today's shiur we will discuss more about קיום שטרות, authenticating the signatures on the Shtar. Can we compare the signatures on this Shtar with the same signatures on another Shtar?
