We continue our study of the question, does Rebby Shimon accept כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור, the debate between Rashi & Tos'. Rashi insists that just as Rebby Shimon rejects Muktza so too does he reject כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור. The latter is an extension of the former. Tos' assumes that Rebby Shimon never debated the principle of כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור which is a separate Gezeira independent of Muktza. The Gezeira was enacted to keep our focus on the Shabbos experience. If we are moving כלים to secure them (i.e. מחמה לצל) then this טלטול is not לצורך שבת & the Issur is included in the Gezera of Nechemya back in the day. The שופר, for Rebby Yehuda, is a כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור which may be moved לצורך גופו. Whereas the חצוצרה is Muktza & may not be moved at all.
