Haksav V'hakabbalah has a simple insight on the word Temimos, vs a different word which should mean "complete" - Shleimos. He explains how Shleimos is a reflection of quantity, and Temimos is a reflection of quality. This helps us understand what the focus of the 7 weeks period of Sefirah should be about.
