Rashi postulates agent called ניטוק which applies to a Korban Ashem that becomes an Olah with the שחיטה itself. It cannot be an אשם since the בעלים died. How does the אשם change its status? How does ניתוק לרעייה effectuate an עקירה that transforms the אשם - thru עקירת השם - into an עולה? The Brisker Rav introduces a new concept, קדושת הגוף לדמים. This could explain the application of the rule of דיחוי to something that has a קדושת דמים. We seek to study a sugya later on (12a) regarding partners over an animal when one partner was מקדיש his half and subsequently bought out the other half and was מקדיש the other half as well.
