Description

In this shiur for Zevachim 115a-b we will study the paradox of Rav Chilkiya in the case of an Asham that 'becomes' an Olah. If the שחיטה היתה לשמה in the case of the korban Asham of a Metzora קודם זמנו, the Korban would be פסול. Yet, if the שחיטה was לשמה, the Korban would be כשר. Rav Huna cannot accept this paradox. But what will R' Huna do with the precedent of קרבן פסח שלא בזמנו? The same paradox applies there! This debate will bear on the case of an Asham קןדם זמנו outside of the Azarah. Would he be guilty of חוץ? Here the potential exists for the Korban to be valid בפנים if the Shechita was שלא לשמה!
