Description

Masechet Megilla B'Iyun 7a: Defining the mitzva of מתנות לאביונים. Is this a mitzva of Tzedakah but on Purim? Or is it a different mitzva and part of the essence of the day of Purim? I.e. do the laws and regulations that govern Tzedaka apply to Matanos LaEvyonim?
