After reviewing some of the highlights of yesterday's shiur regarding יהרג ואל יעבור for a non-Jew, we will study the Ba'al HaMaor who expands the application of יהרג ואל יעבור to any benefit he would derive from Avoda Zara or גילוי עריות. Thus he compares the case of הכל מתרפאים חוץ מעצי אשירה with the case of תעמוד לפניו ערומה. We will study the Mishna in תרומות and formulate the principle of אסור להציל את עצמו בנפשו של חבירו. We will try to apply this principle to a number of scenarios. The last part of the shiur will begin our study of the sugya of חמץ שנפלה עליו מפולת. We will conclude with a few words about חרוסת.
