Description

Masechet Sanhedrin B'Iyun 3a & 5a: The court convened the case with five Judges, must the ruling of the court be issued by five Judges? What if one Judge cannot decide, or one Judge re-cruses himself? Can the four Judges hand down a valid, binding ruling, or must that Judge be replaced by another in order to produce a decision of five Judges?
