Following last weeks focus on staying out of trouble by holding fast to the guidance of one’s parents, Shlomo Hamelech continues by discussing the nature of evil-doers. Despite their hope that acting poorly will be consequence-free, in different ways, Shlomo reminds the reader that it will always backfire. One should step back and make decisions objectively, without being swayed by desire.
