Description

After a couple quick stories from the Chiddushei HaRim and the Kotzker Rebbe, we learned the Sfas Emes’ interpretation of the words “Kol hamitzvah”. He explains that every mitzvah provides us with more life, but only based on how much effort and intention we put into it. He says ‘mitzvah’ is related to ‘mitzuy’, to squeeze. Just like the juices flow from a sponge only as much as we squeeze it, so it is with mitzvos.
