Description

As Pesach 5702 (1942) approached, the Jews in the Kovno ghetto deliberated over how they could acquire flour to bake Matzos for Pesach. One individual, Moshe Goldkorn Hy”d, was successful at smuggling small amounts of flour into the ghetto over an extended time. However, but two days before Pesach, the Nazis caught him entering with the contraband of flour and beat him mercilessly, knocking out all his teeth. Chewing hard Matza would be impossible. Given that his custom was to avoid eating “gebrokts”, could he moisten his Matza this year in order to be able to fulfill the Mitzva?
