Description

Following the war, two Lithuanians were put on trial for murdering 20 Jews. They hired a Jewish attorney, who resisted calls to desist from defending the murderers. The attorney entered the Shul on the day of a family Yahrzeit, and approached the Amud with the intent of leaving the Tefilla. This caused an uproar and resulted in everyone leaving the Shul to daven in an adjacent room. Rav Oshry was asked: was this action justified?
