Shiur #12 of a series on "Halakha in the Era of COVID." In this installment, we explore the Halakhot surrounding the Berakha of Borei Minei Besamim during Havdalah in general, followed by a discussion of its application for a person who cannot smell (for example, as a symptom of COVID-19. After considering whether such a person can recite the Berakha on behalf of someone else, we conclude by reviewing some contemporary presentations in the COVID/Halakha literature.
