Description

The famous and popular song, Dayyenu, which only shows up in our liturgy in the 10th century yet quickly became a staple of the Hagadah, is deceptively simple. Once we scratch the surface of this piyyut (liturgical poem), several difficulties emerge which, when solved, give us a deeper insight into the environment that this section is intended to generate at the Seder.
